The Private Security Law 5/2014 establishes that certain establishments and situations require the presence of security guards authorized for firearm use. High-risk areas, due to the high value of assets, the type of activity, or the characteristics of the facilities, require trained personnel legally identified to provide armed service.

When is armed surveillance mandatory or necessary?
The need to provide an armed surveillance service depends on the applicable regulations, the characteristics of the facility, and, where applicable, the specific conditions established for each service. It requires a prior report and administrative authorization from the Government Sub-delegation of the province where it is requested.
